Becoming Aware.

Yorba Linda, CaI am retired. I was born and raised in Richmond, Va but moved to Ca. 3 years ago to live closer to my son. I had high hopes about this move. This was to be the start of my new life.
I started life as a very happy little girl who was a dreamer. Back then my dreams came true. That is the innocence of a child who believes in all good things.
Then the real life happened and I lost my magic glow. In my adulthood I was stressed, unhappy, negative and wallowing in adversity. My life during my 20’s to my 40’s passed so fast and I felt my life was happening without me taking control over my life. Coming into my late 40’s to 50’s I tried to make some changes but still nothing major happened.
In my late 60’s I discovered The Secret. I read the book and put it away. I thought about it from time to time but still did not take it seriously.
I moved to California at age 69. It took some adjustment but I eventually felt like things were looking up. Some good things happened and some not so good things have happened.
I thought about The Secret again and found it in an unpacked box of books. I read it again and again and bought the DVD and played it over and over. Since then I have bought and read The Magic, The Power and Hero. I also bought The Secret Daily Teachings and The Gratitude Book.
I hate to even let this be known but initially my gratitude list was very short. But the more I wrote down what I was grateful for, the longer and longer the list grew. I began to truly feel gratitude and I am still a work in progress. I have filled up several thick notebooks and I have made a big dent in my Gratitude book which I save for special things that have happened.
I have come into some amounts of money and I won’t put an adjective on the amounts because anytime I get any money from anywhere it is a big deal and I am grateful for it. I have found quarters, dimes, and pennies and I was truly grateful. Everything is not about money.
What reading these books have done for me is help me to restore my faith, given me hope, and inspiration. I believe that all things are possible. I believe that the things that seem impossible can actually happen through positive thinking and using The Law of Attraction. I believe that negative thinking is a waste of energy. Positive thinking uplifts my spirits, gives me encouragement and strength to move forward.
I did all the things The Magic Book suggested. I even walked on the walking trail through a park saying “Thank You” 100 times.
I think that this journey has prepared me to try now to move on to bringing my life’s dreams to pass. I am trying to put into practice The Law of Attraction to bring my wildest dreams to me. I started on small things first.
I am now 72 years young. I work out at a gym on a regular basis. I am keeping my mind and my body in shape. I am trying to keep my life clutter free.
This has been an interesting journey and it has been all about me and bringing myself to a peaceful space and place. I will post again in the very near future. I believe I will be in a very different place then.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
