Rolling Pin

EWELL, UKMarried since 1952, I used to do a lot of cooking, less now. I have a large circle of friends, my closest girlfriend and I have been friends for about 55 years. Lost one son to cancer and have one surviving son. I was a secretary.
I have two stories that happened within a week of each other. This is one of those stories:
I had a marble rolling pin with wooden handles ever since I was married. I don’t think they are made anymore. I used it at Christmas, then a few months later I wanted to use it again and it had disappeared.
We suspected it was thrown out with some wrapping paper. I had to improvise with a wood roller.
The next day a friend visited who I had not seen for months. In conversation she told me that her husband, who was a builder, had been asked to dispose of some old stuff which was in a box to be thrown away. He took it, called home first, and asked if she might like it.
She said she did not really want it but that she had it and did not know what to do with it, as there was a marble rolling pin in it!
No guess who got that! In less than 24 hours after wanting it!
