Ask & Receive From Unlikely Places

Alberta, CanadaWife and stay-at-home mom to 4 young children.
It’s happened many times in the past. When times were tough and we just weren’t sure where the next dollar would come from, then money fell in our lap. It was always enough, but never a lot.
This time was a little different. First, I read The Secret. Then, I asked. I really asked. Not for money, per se. But a life style. I wanted a certain type of life and happiness. So I asked.
I wanted to fall pregnant without months of heart ache and questions. After 3 girls, I wanted a boy. Two weeks later we found out we were expecting. The ultrasound showed we were having a boy!
I wanted a trip to Disney World. But we didn’t have enough money for our family of 6 to go. But I booked it anyhow. By glitch or magic, or the power of the universe, our trip was gifted to us. We still have to pay for food and spending, but that’s a fraction of the cost.
I still wanted more. Children were growing out of clothes, but with a trip coming up, we didn’t have a lot of extra money.
I asked. I wanted to buy our children nice clothes that fit. I walked into our second hand clothing store. They were having a sale on top of their already reduced prices. I was able to find full wardrobes for each child for $40 total! Amazing.
But the biggest thing we were able to attract is more spectacular than anyone could imagine. We were trying to move. But our house just wasn’t selling. No one could figure out why. We were priced low and our house is lovely with a big yard. But we couldn’t sell.
But when I asked the universe to provide, I wasn’t asking to move. I asked for a life style. I wanted a feeling of joy. We took our house off the market because we felt something wanted us to stay put.
The day we took our home off the market we found $10, 000 in a bag in our back yard, in our children’s play house!
It has been unclaimed and is ours.
I asked. And the universe answered every single time. And for that I am grateful beyond measure.
