Stuck On A Bus.
Submitted by: Patrick G.
Mount Holly, NJHello, my name is Patrick Gaughan, and I just discovered The Secret. I am presently a Program Director at an Assisted Living Community, but soon I will have my own Card Store/ Vintage Video Game Arcade.
My favorite quote has always been Henry Ford’s, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re probably right.”
I have always known The Secret, but I have also always been guilty of letting negative thoughts enter my mind. I have a fantastic life, and I tend to lose sight of that through every day stresses, which I have come to expect.
Most recently, I nearly quit my job because I did not get along with my 3rd boss in 2 years. Which, was the EXACT situation that ended my last job.
I am man working on realigning my magnet, and I know that mine is as powerful as they come. For the last few weeks, I have been completely obsessing over starting my own business. All positive thoughts. I have been having trouble sleeping at night due to excitement, basically running on fumes but still with more energy than I’ve had in years.
Two days ago, I ran a shuttle service for 4 hours and drove roughly 8 people, so I was stuck on a bus with nothing to do for most of the time. In the door of the passenger side sat a book, so I picked it up and started reading. It was The Secret and the entire time I was reading, I couldn’t stop nodding my head.
I knew it, I felt it, I’ve always seen it in own life, and now it is confirmed. I got chills when I got to the section about things just pop up and thought about how I found your book when I needed it most. Without it, I may have derailed myself, as I have been guilty of letting the stress and the expectation of stress from my job put me in a bad place.
Now I am checking myself when I start feeling bad. My life is good. I have a beautiful family, I have a lot of love in my heart, and I am about to start a fundraising campaign that will start my business and get me back to doing what I want to be doing.
Thank you so much for giving me what I needed to get over the hump.
