True soul mate

I was in a relationship for five years, stuck, thinking, “This is me, I can’t do any better”, all depressed. Until one day I said with full belief, “I want a partner that is honest, that I can trust and share my inner most thoughts with.” As the universe would have it though, I needed to appreciate the life that I had…
So as a co-worker and I were going out to a job site, something happened. He was driving and took his eyes off the road for a second, and before we knew it we were upside down on the edge of a 150ft bank in a forest that had just been cleared, and of course our vehicle went over the bank. On the way down my mate was thrown through the drivers side door window in the path of the vehicle, a tree landed on him taking most of the force. I however stayed in the vehicle and when it stopped I walked away with a fractured shoulder bone. My mate sustained various injuries (fractured spine, compound fracture of the left ankle – it popped out basically – and a fractured hip). He was in a wheelchair for 10 months.
But it made me realise life is not something to be taken for granted. About 2 weeks later I left my ex-partner, because I had changed, but she was who she was.
3 days later I meet my perfect Soul mate; loving, caring, kind, supportive, all the things I’d asked for. We were going out for 1 year, engaged for 4 years, and got married Nov 10th 2007, the fifth year anniversary of the accident.
The point is, I knew the important nature of the LAW, but had forgotten, and the universe reminded me to be grateful of life in general so I would appreciate my lovely wife even more.
