Perfect Gratitude Diary
Submitted by: Lu W
Eureka, CAI am married 24 years, with two children. A 12-year-old special needs child whom I homeschool and an 18-year-old who is going to enter university in the fall. I have goals to be a nutritional counselor and author.
I just have a tiny story to share.
I enjoy journaling. After watching The Secret, I began to specifically record things or situations that I was grateful and happy for. I have since started several journals, one in my purse, one in the bedroom, one under the newspapers in the living room, etc., etc. I really wanted just one central book to record gratitude in, but it didn’t seem like a big deal, just a thought.
While out of town, I saw a rather plain-looking diary at a variety store. It had several lines of French words on the front cover, but I didn’t really pay much attention.
A few days later, on a whim, I looked the words up using an online translator. Here are the French words, followed by the English translations:
Il faut avoir de grandes ambitions (must have big ambitions)
Bonheur Manager (Happiness Manager)
le comble du Bonheur (the height of happiness)
mener une vie heureuse (lead a happy life)
vivre heureux (live happily)
passer des jours heureux (spend happy days)
How perfect and encouraging! I love it!
