Mumbai,IndiaA sports crazy person. I like to meet new people and learn something from everybody.
Thank you so much Rhonda.
It has been The Secret that has completely changed my life from a life of having no time, depression, anger and negativity to a happy, balanced and cheerful life.
I graduated from a Hotel school in India and got a job as a trainee chef in one of best 5 star hotels in Mumbai, India. To be frank I didn’t like the work culture in the kitchen. The job started to suffocate me. I used to work for 13 hours and total travelling time was 4 hours, so I hardly got any time for myself.
I desperately wanted to leave, but I saw a dead end ,and believed that I could not change anything because this is my destiny.
A few months later I left that job and joined another hotel and after one month I left that hotel. I then worked at many places and left, but I decided to not to leave the kitchen job, as I didn’t believe or have confidence in myself of doing something better. It was like I thought I was made to work in a kitchen, only. My resume had become worse, there was nothing achieved during the 2 years of my career post college. I was getting low on finances and family relations. For financial gains I decided to get a job on a cruise ship. I worked on the Royal Caribbean Cruise lines, but could hardly resist leaving for more than couple of months. I resigned and came back to Mumbai, India.
Now I had no job, no proper work experience and no finances. My life was shattered. People in the community started questioning me. I started to stay more inside the house than go to meet anyone outside. I hardly came out of the house for a couple of months because I felt whoever I might meet would either ask sarcastic questions or laugh at me.
It started taking a toll on me. I lost my confidence, was unable to look in my parents eyes to assure them everything will be alright. Friends started ignoring me. Only a couple of friends stood by me. There was a complete silence in my life, I stopped talking to anyone because I felt I was a failure. And no one likes to hangout with failures.
I had to talk about something so decided to read books. I had already read Robin Sharma’s books and I wanted something more. A friend of mine Elvira Gonsalves suggested I read The Secret which she referred to as a Life Changing book. I was sure it would be good book, but not exactly a life changing.
Things changed with time and I started to read The Secret and everything was moving like The Law of Attraction.
To be brief, I got a job in MNC and today I have a balanced life, with ample time for sports and live the exact life that I wished for!
I am grateful to Elvira Gonsalves for refering me THE SECRET and most grateful to Rhonda Bryne.
