First of all many thanks are due to Rhonda Byrne and The Secret team for bringing to light the true wonder of the universe. Thank you for continuing to provide inspiration for taking control of one’s life.
A couple of years ago, I decided to become a blood donor and did so every few months. It made me feel wonderful to help like that. However, last June, the day of the scheduled blood drive, I woke up feeling anxious. The uneasy feeling continued all morning and pretty soon I was thinking about rescheduling my appointment. In the end I decided to go for it anyway, still feeling out of sorts.
Guess what happened next?!
After checking my blood sample, the nurse informed me that I was showing a lower iron count than was acceptable, so I couldn’t donate that day! While this was a shock at first, I immediately realized that the lower iron count manifested as a result of all that negative vibes I had felt earlier.
I decided there and then to try again in two months. A few days later I scheduled an appointment as if my blood was healthy enough already. Mind you I did nothing different diet wise, only kept BELIEVING that all was perfect for the donation. I went about my business and soon forgot about the appointment date.
A couple of days before the scheduled date, I received a call reminding me of the appointment. At this point I suddenly blurted out “thank you God for accepting my blood”! Now, I don’t know where those words came from. They were completely SPONTANEOUS as I felt so much love and gratitude for being healthy enough to help those who needed blood so badly. I found myself repeating those words for the next two days leading up to the appointment. I had moments of doubt, since I had done nothing as ADVISED to improve my iron count, but always right away continued to utter those words.
I went to the appointment while continuing to thank God for accepting my blood and GUESS WHAT?
My blood iron count was not only good enough, but it was actually VERY GOOD. This time the process went faster than all other previous appointments. I walked out of there feeling just as strong as when I had walked in!
This truly shows the power of BELIEF and GRATITUDE. The love I felt while thinking about donating was really about my getting back more love in return. Hard as it may be, the key is to train ourselves to continue to think of what we want and especially more at those times when doubts appear.
I learned to drown out the negative thoughts with increased thoughts of positive outcome. Thank you for letting me share my wonderful experience and may this serve as testament to the truth about faith and gratitude.
