I Am Overwhelmed With Gratitude!
Submitted by: Aparna K
RichardsonI am a graduate student in Computer Science and will be graduating this May :)
I do not know how to explain the beauty that The Secret has brought into my life.
I am so filled with gratitude and joy that I find it hard to list what I have found by practicing gratitude and by “practicing” happiness.
I am a full-time graduate student who used to be so much under pressure all the time during my initial semesters. I did not understand why, in spite of all that hard work and lost sleep, I could not do as well at school as I’d expect me to.
What The Secret gave me was a tap in the right places to wake me up. I realized, although I was putting in a lot of work, I was looking at it as “Hard Work” instead of being grateful for an opportunity to learn and enjoying the pleasure of just learning.
I decided to just let go and enjoy and be happy about every moment, every day of my life, to look at every challenge as an opportunity for my own betterment.
From the time I decided to do so, my life turned around like magic. I have had only A’s since then in all my courses. I received opportunities for work and academic projects that is taking me through a beautiful path of achievement and learning, which was exactly what I wanted.
Just today I received an offer from a company that I really wanted an opportunity to work with. What is even more magical is that, right before the interview I almost knew every question they were going to ask me, and that is exactly what they asked, too. I just don’t know how to thank enough!
I keep practicing happiness by just letting go of everything negative. I could do this with the help of daily mediation, and I am grateful for an opportunity to learn how to do so from a meditation course I attended. In fact, I was introduced to The Secret at this course.
I kept practicing gratitude by being thankful for even the smallest of things each day, like a good meal, being able to catch a bus at the right time, every single moment, in fact.
I decided to write this because I used to read all these stories here and used to look to them for inspiration and I used to tell myself, “As soon as I get an amazing job offer I will write here”.
If my story of faith and gratitude might add anything to somebody’s quest for an inspiration, like a lot of the stories here did for me, I’m grateful for an opportunity to do so.
All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I have a perfect life and have everything to be grateful of.
Thank you so much!!!
