MumbaiDigital short filmmaker on my way to be a Hollywood director immensely successful, critically and commercially, in all his films.
Hii all, thank you so much taking the time out to post your stories which are a big source of inspiration for all our Secret brethren. Thank you Rhonda, for doing what you did, and thanks to your teammates for supporting her.
A couple years back, I had become alcohol dependent. I couldn’t sleep until I had a drink or two. Slowly, it became, 3 or 4, then 7 or 8, all the while I was thinking I have it under control. It’s just so that I can sleep, blah blah etc etc.
I used to practice The Secret just like I did before but did not realize my life had become a part of my drinking and not the other way around. I had some really big plans but my efforts were decreasing by d day. I did not notice for quite some time. Then one day it happened!
I boozed on my own 2 days straight. I had done it before so didn’t anticipate what was in store for me. The next day, I suffered from diarrhoea. My body was already dehydrated due to d alcohol and I had to be hospitalized.
Let me take a moment to tell U about my medical history. Never ever been sick enough to get hospitalized, no fractures or major road accidents, nothing.
And there I was on hospital bed. Due to alcohol.
I felt so scared at that moment, I cannot put it in words. My blood pressure shot up like crazy, almost giving me a panic attack. I resolved, never again.
To make sure, I decided to stay at my Parents’ for some time. My parents don’t like and therefore don’t allow me to drink.
2 weeks later, I ran into an old friend. I casually mentioned him about the latest short film script I’m working on. He immediately showed interest and together we made it. Now, it’s not only my best work till date, but it has also got me good recognition from across the globe. Many reputed Production houses have offered me work and I’m finally working on my dreams.
Now that I’ve had time to reflect, I knew I what I had to do, but I just wasn’t doing it, so the Universe took matters into its own infinitely-more-than-capable hands to put me on the right track. Thank you so much Universe for being even more passionate about my well being, my dreams than I could ever hope to be. I was, am and will always be grateful to you.
Thank you, my friend for reading my story. Even if you are going through tough times, take solace in the fact that the Universe knows the fastest, best, most harmonious way to take you to where you want to be. My best wishes to you. Always.
