Do What Resonates With Your Heart

Mumbai, IndiaI am a 22 year "young" believer, following my heart and finding joy.
Hi everyone, I am a proud owner of The Secret, The Magic and The Secret Movie DVD. I would like to thank the entire Secret team before narrating my story. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
I have been reading The Secret for 2 years now, and practicing gratitude each day of these 2 years. And believe me, life has become magical!! I got over my ex, got a super cool cellphone, aced my Japanese exams and reconciled with my best friend.
So when after graduation I thought of pursuing an MBA, I searched for the best college in my state and decided to enter into it. Obviously even here I used LOA to ace the entrance exam. But all this while there was this uncomfortable nudge from within. It so happened that this college, which was one of the best colleges, did not offer the specialization I wanted. But since it was such a reputed college, I ignored this nudge and went on dreaming and visualizing getting into it.
I was called for Group discussion and Personal interview, which is the last step before you finally get selected into the college. All this while I was praying to the universe “Do what is best for me, do what is best for me. Get me into this college”.
During my interview, I had an amazing panel. They were friendly. But after a while, I don’t know how, they saw through me and asked me whether I was really into this specialization which they offered. I lied and said that I was. They smiled and asked me what my passions were. And I blurted out what I really wanted to do. I was so shocked with myself. I mean I never truly admitted, even to myself, what I really wanted to do. And here I was talking about my dreams and passions to these complete strangers! What is weirder is they were so amazed by my frank answers that they dropped the interview and started talking about the opportunities I could explore.
My “interview” lasted for a solid 35 minutes, whereas for others it was barely 20! Coming out from the interview room I had the widest smile on my face.
Everyone must have thought “Boy! Look at her! She most certainly must have gotten selected”.
It was only I who knew the reason for my smile. The universe had done what I had asked for- it had done what was best for me.
Now I am aiming for a really good college which has the specialization I want and I am sure that I will get into it.
To everyone who is in situation like mine, follow your heart. Don’t chase someone else’s dreams. Your dreams are what matter. Do what truly resonates with your heart. And the universe will pave your way.
