Great Expectations

I discovered The Secret in December 2012 through a series of synchronized events.
I was due to attend a training course in Kensington, London. As I sat through the first five minutes, a very powerful voice inside told me to go to the Library next door instead, so I got up and walked out.
I spent six really enjoyable hours there reading three books cover to cover, and went on to order my own copies of them. One of them contained an intriguing reference to The Secret, so I ordered that on Amazon as well.
I found it compelling, and as I re-read it, day by day everything began to make sense. One of the most powerful ideas is about loving oneâs enemies. Jesus tells us to do that, but Rhonda tells us why and that makes it a little easier to do! And thatâs through the law of attraction.
Just before Christmas I thought of something small to attract, something I thought I wasn’t likely to encounter easily in daily life, an old English Penny. I held a picture of it in my mind and didn’t really think any more about it.
Then, on New Yearâs Day, I tuned in to the end of Mary Poppins, a film I saw four times as a child when it came out in 1964. And there was David Tomlinson handing not just one old English Penny, but two, to Dick Van Dyke just before being sacked from his job at the Bank because his children caused a run on it by demanding their pennies back earlier in the day!
Since then I am seeing a wholly different perspective on life. Someone who has owed me money for more than a year has agreed to pay me, and I am enjoying Great Expectations.
Thank you.
