Mediocre student tops the licensure exam!
Submitted by: Adeline
Manila, PhilippinesLiving a magical life. :)
I was a mediocre student in college. My grades are usually just a little above the passing mark. So all I really prayed for the national licensure exam given by the Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) was to pass.
During the early parts of the review season, a friend lent me The Secret Movie. I felt chills coming down my spine while watching it.
Since results of any licensure exam in the Philippines is published in a major newspaper, aside from the PRC website, I decided envisioning how the results would appear on paper. So I wrote the following on a bond paper:
Month 20__ Physical and Occupational Therapist Licensure Examinations
Top 1: My Name, My University, My Passing Rate
I taped that paper on the wall in front of my study table. Every night I visualized how it would feel to get the news that I topped the board exam. I would enact calling my parents (since they live in a different island) and telling them the good news. I would be so immersed in the moment that I would sometimes cry with joy and “hear” from the other end of the line my parents crying with me; feeling that everything is so real.
When the results came out in the PRC website, it was exactly how I wrote it on that bond paper (except the passing rate)! I was so shaken by the unexplainable feelings of gratitude and happiness. I kept telling my sister, “It works! It REALLY works!!!” And the phone call to my parents? Exactly the same as I have enacted it months ago, even the feelings of joy and the tears overflowing. It was so surreal.
That started my relationship with The Secret Family. Now, the 3 books are my constant companions. I read a chapter of any of them everyday and that starts my day right. Every day is better than the day before. It’s almost magical. 🙂
Thank you to Rhonda and her team. The change in my life has been profound. You have an amazing gift in writing and touching people. Whenever I read your books, happiness just fills my heart to the brim.
