Runaway dog

WalesI'm a mum, daughter, friend, sister, and a believer!
I came home late from work recently to find that my dog had got out of the cat flap & run off. It was bonfire night & she must have been terribly spooked. I was distraught. I contacted friends & family & we hunted high & low for her to no avail. I contacted the police, the vet, the pound, everywhere that I could think of, but had no luck at all.
At 1am I knew that I had to give up for the night. I was exhausted & just becoming increasingly anxious & certain that she had either been taken or hurt. I went to bed, but couldn’t sleep.
I am a huge believer in the power of positive thinking but find that in times of stress it easily goes out the window & negativity soon takes over as the predominant emotion. As I lay in bed I thought how The Secret has helped me with many aspects of my life. I got up, got onto the website here, & read some positive stories about lost & found pets. I know it sounds silly, but i went down to my little dog’s bed & said goodnight to her & said, “See you in the morning.” I then put a little food in her bowl & went back up to bed. Before getting into bed I wrote on a piece of paper how glad I was that she was home safe & sound & how grateful I felt to have her back. I wrote, “thank you, thank you, thank you” at the end. As I closed my eyes I visualized me making a huge fuss of her and concentrated on absolute positivity.
I drifted off to sleep but an hour & a half later I woke again & realized that I just wouldn’t be able to sleep, so I went down to the kitchen for a drink and guess who was sleeping safe & sound in her bed!!!!!! She was a little dirty & very tired & shaken, but safe & sound & home!
In the face of adversity, stay positive & BELIEVE in the power & law of attraction. I’m convinced it brought my best friend home to me on bonfire night. I still have the note that I wrote that night – it will remind me always to believe.
