Never-ending Gratitude

Malaysiaan 18 years old girl who learned to be grateful for her amazing life!
First of all, I am sincerely grateful to everyone who dedicated their time to post their stories on this website. Thank you so much, all your stories are truly amazing and inspiring. More thank yous to those who tirelessly described in detail how they applied The Secret with the hope that the other readers could benefit from it. Whenever I feel down or find the negative emotions hard to shift, I would come to this website and spend hours reading stories written by all the other secret believers. While reading, I would be filled with hope and determination again. Needless to say, I continued to persevere until I got what I desired.
I have just graduated Year 12 in Perth, and is going to Uni next February. But for now, I am preparing to go back to my beloved home in Malaysia for summer holiday! 🙂 Everyday I would sit down and start typing my gratitude list on my lappy, or type it in essay form on this website. Not only that, whenever I am showering or brushing my teeth, I would list gratitudes in my mind too. In the bus or waiting for it, I would listen to uplifting classical music and visualise wonderful and happy things as my happy emotions dance along to the flow of the music.
My life has always been amazing, and I am very grateful to my dad. My dad has been a firm believer of The Secret ever since he discovered it 3 years ago. Since then, he has been trying his very best to teach The Secret to us, helping us to understand it, and also guiding us how to apply it in our daily lives. He let me choose a rock I liked from the fountain in our garden before I left for college in Perth and told me that the one I picked will be my gratitude stone. I am truly grateful to my dad for giving me the book The Secret and the Daily Teachings too. It has turned out to be my beacon of hope when depressing times threatened to engulf me as I am far away from my lovely family. I cannot thank my Dad enough for his love, his care, and what he has done for me. I also thank the Universe for always giving me what I want and being so friendly and loving to me, making my life an enjoyable one!
As I was on the phone with my younger brother today, I suddenly remembered a story that proves that my brother has always adored me and loves me with all his heart. When I was 11, and my brother was 4, I got the chicken pox. Since I missed my vaccination, you can imagine the horrible and gruesome symptoms I developed. I had to stay at home, of course. I was covered with terribly ugly red pimple-like pus all over myself. However, my brother would come after his pre-school in the morning and play games with me. I am so grateful that even though he was only 4 years old, he did not recoil from me. Instead, he keep attempting to cheer me up and making me enjoy myself as I played and jumped around. At one point, I asked him: are you not disgusted by me? My brother just gave me a warm smile and said: No way, you are my big sis. why would I be 🙂
Now, my eyes fill with immense tears of gratitude as those kind words of his echoed in my mind right now. I can’t wait to be home and give him a big hug!
Our gratitudes are never-ending, no matter how big or how small, it is always something worth grateful for. Be it when you dropped something, a friend or a stranger stops to help you pick it up, or when you are not feeling happy, but someone comes along and says or do something to make you feel happy, or anything or anyone that changed your life or feelings for the better. Just like how Rhonda Byrne did, she discovered something that would bring joy to everybody always, and she put in a huge effort and time so that she can make billions of people’s lives better. We have to be grateful.
I am grateful that the Universe is friendly, I am grateful that the Universe is generous, and I am grateful that the Universe is kind and loving to me and to everyone in this lovely world.
Thank you 🙂
