Gratitude For My Safety From The Hurricane

I bought the online books a week ago, just before going on a cruise. I started practicing gratitude but didn’t do all the exercises in structured fashion as I didn’t have a rock etc.
It is only a week ago that I started reading, and WOW! Firstly gratitude for returning home safe tonight from the monster/historic hurricane. I was in the ocean this past week, going to the Carribbean while the hurricane was swirling the seas around us.The first night of the cruise, I craved cream of tomato soup. I had a box on my counter at home, but had not gotten around to making it. Sure enough, that night, cream of tomato soup appeared on the menu. I thought, OK, let’s start small. The next few days, the ship became very rocky, and I threw up several times from motion sickness, along with many others on the ship. I was hardly able to eat anything, and all I wanted was clear chicken soup (which is unlikely on the fancy cruise menu). In fact I told my friend that’s what I really wanted that night, and thai chicken soup appeared on the menu!! The next night, old fashioned clear chicken noodle soup appeared on the menu!
There was so much rocking and we were so nauseous that I asked the guest services desk to relay a message to the captain, could we please just get to our port sooner, we want to get to land. The officer insisted that we would arrive at the original landing time, which meant another 2 days of rocking on the boat. The next evening, the captain announced that we would land the next morning, as weather conditions made it unsafe for us to wait an extra day. I was elated.
I had no idea how big this storm was, as I did not have TV or internet access. Anyway, we only had a few hours that evening to make flight arrangements. I contacted Delta, and I practiced gratitude! They re-arranged all my flights for the next morning, and I did not have to pay a penny! (this does not usually happen when the airline is not at fault). I felt heartfelt gratitude for all the airline personnel working to help me out, and all they did in their jobs.
I was also practicing imaging abundance, and not only did I “receive” money from not having to pay for my airticket rearrangement, the cruise will give us a refund for landing a day early.
When I realized how historic/huge this storm is, I was grateful just to be safe, and now I realize The Magic was at work in bringing me back safely.
Thank you Rhonda!
