It’s About What Not How

Dehradun, IndiaA student of 12th grade on her way to become a great architect from Columbia University, NY.
An abroad program to Japan was organized by our school and we were informed to take part in it. Only selected students were to be taken on the trip. I gave it a shot and submitted my name. We were supposed to give lists of our past achievements in various fields. I had many certificates but other kids had certificates of higher value (I mean national achievements, etc.).
I felt a bit low and was ready to take my name back but recently I was introduced to The Secret, and was quite moved by it too. So I decided why not bring The Secret into action.
I gave my information to the teacher very enthusiastically and I still couldn’t forget the face that she made after reading my certificates. I actually had imagined that and it seriously worked. I was in shock.
So after that I got serious about all that The Secret taught and I applied it. I would put pictures of Japan in my room and I read about Japan a lot. I wrote in my diary about how happy I am to be selected for the trip. I even wrote a thank you letter to God and thanked him a huge number of times. I started imagining my name in the list of selected students. I even told my friends at coaching institute that I am going to Japan. I started selecting clothes that I’ll take on the trip. I got my passport ready.
Then suddenly one day the list was put up on the notice board and I ran happily to see it and there it was. My name was on top of the list. I really did burst into tears because I was so happy and the first thing that I did was to thank God for all of this.
I am on the plane right now. We are going to land in Tokyo in an hour. I really thank everyone who has come in my life and has made it beautiful.
