First Try

Edison, NJ USAToday, 8-1-07, I had a free day because I had recently left my job. I had some errands to run and I decided to go to Barnes and Noble to look for a new book to read, although I had 3 more in line. My thoughts were that I hadn’t been there in so long and going there to browse always made me happy.
I walked in and the first book I’ve seen, for about the 50th time in B&N, was The Secret. I’ve passed by it many a time and never read it but was always intrigued. I walked around and didn’t see anything in the store, and there is a rather large store where I am, and remembered a friend of mine who I just recently met who randomly asked me about The Secret. He asks “Have you heard of The Secret?” and I tell him “I have but I haven’t read it.” And all he says to me is “You should, it changed my life”… and that was the end of the conversation – weeks ago. I remembered his voice in my head when I went downstairs to pick it up to read at B&N for a little while. 81 pages later, I was ready to buy this book and start my life a-new. I had read the story of the man with the feather. I wanted to try this myself. All the while I was reading The Secret, I had envisioned myself writing this down in a brown leather book with blank pages to help me live the life I know I want. I said to myself before I got up to leave that I would walk over to the section of B&N where they keep blank books to write in and on the third shelf down from the top, it would be there waiting for me. I thought about this for a good 30 minutes straight and that was all that was on my mind. I walked downstairs and walked over to that section of B&N and there was the exact book I had envisioned in my mind. I was shocked. I started laughing out loud because I was so happy and impressed. I laughed all the way home, no lie.
I am excited now to finish The Secret and start applying it to my life. Thank you Rhonda for sharing The Secret with the world.
