A New Home

Vernon. BCHi, I’m JJ, single mom of one great boy, who is turning 6 tomorrow. Here is our little story about The Secret and finding a new home.
My son and I have been living at the same address for 3.5 years now. In the past year I have fallen out of favor with the managers daughter (we used to be good friends, but when I didn’t approve of an abusive relationship she was in, our friendship fell apart). We live in a 4-plex and these people live above us. The rest of the people who live in the building are drug users who hit and yell at their children – it’s awful here. For the past 8 months the people upstairs have been harassing us, having loud parties until the wee hours of the morn, slamming doors, using the water when I’m in the shower… you name it, they do it. About a month into this I had had enough and decided to move. Rent is very high here and there is little to choose from. Landlords don’t want kids, pets, single parents, even white people. I’ve been looking to find a place for months.
A couple of weeks ago I watched The Secret. I had heard of it before, but wasn’t in a place to really feel it, or to use it. When I watched it though, I was. It was time.
Six days after watching The Secret I found a new place to live. SIX DAYS!!! All I did was change my thoughts from ‘there’s nothing to rent here’ to ‘something will come up soon’, and it did! We move in at the end of July, we will have a brand new suite with a big yard and no drug users living nearby. There is a school within walking distance for my son and they will let us have our cats. I really do believe that if I had not watched The Secret when I did I wouldn’t be moving there. I’ve looked at a lot of places over the past few months, some good and some bad, but this one is the best so far. There were other good ones, but there was always a reason for us not getting it – too many people applying etc.
I’d like to tell the people at The Secret how grateful I am to them for showing this to me. Thank you! And thank you to the Universe. We are grateful.
