Finding Aladdin’s Lamp

Isle of ManI used to be negative, I was fond of my victim role. Now I think of what I have received and I use small, gentle, affirmations for "instant happiness." I love the miracles I attract into my life.
It was December and my friend and I were shopping and looking for Christmas presents. We were in a second hand shop when I became aware of a tingling feeling, it was as if my hair was standing up and I started to scratch my head and look around in the shop. However I could not see anything that I wanted or “needed.”
When we left, we decided to walk up a small lane and we found an antiques shop which none of us had visited before. My friend and I both love crystals, and the jewellery in the window attracted our attention. There were beautiful little things made of silver and gold, with amber, peridot, quartz and lots of beautiful stones. We went inside and started talking to the owner. He was selling a lot of of second hand rings for a tenner each, and we decided to buy each other Christmas presents, so I got a beautiful silver ring with a smokey quartz as a Christmas present from my friend.
The shop itself was a delight, full of treasures and exciting things and a sleepy cat in a chair, and we spent an hour just looking at all the interesting furniture, books and jewellery. When we left the shop, I declared: “The only thing that could make my day even better now, would be if I found a wishing lamp!”
We went further up the lane and found another second hand shop, which had three floors and many rooms full of antiques. The basement in the shop looked like a cave. I walked down the steps, entered the cave and had a look around and shouted: “There it is!” My wishing lamp was on a table in the cave. The price was one pound, the owner said that he had tried to get rid of it for ages. I was so happy to find this treasure and every time I light the candle in the lamp I smile and think about how lucky and happy I am.
