Got my new job in my desired field
Submitted by: Kishan
New Delhi, IndiaI am a 24 year old guy who wants to have a positive impact on the world. I dream to be great and awesome and marry the woman I love and have a phenomenal life.
After graduating from college in 2009 I got a job in which I wasn’t interested and it also paid me less. I have always wanted to work in a well known consulting company, but I had bad grades in college and consulting companies usually take candidates with excellent grades (at least this is what I was told by folks with whom I inquired about consulting field). However, deep inside I knew that I was better and very good despite my bad grades in college.
In mid-February 2011 I decided that I will change my job and get into consulting. I typed my resignation letter and saved it as a draft in my mailbox. I selected some consulting companies that I wanted to work for and imagined how it would be to work in those companies. However, nothing was happening for some time. One of the companies that I applied through a friend didn’t find my profile suitable enough and when my friend told me about it, I was kind of sad.
But for some unseemingly reason I decided that I will end up working for this company itself; and I imagined myself working in this company. I started preparing for being interviewed by this company as if I already had received the interview opportunity. I imagined having my name and pic on this company’s badge and working in this company. I began to use “The Secret”.
Then after a few days I received a call from the HR of this company, the same HR who had said that my profile was not upto the mark, the same HR called me to ask me if I was still interested in working with them. I was very happy and said yes, and the HR then scheduled some interviews for me. I immediately stored the number of the HR in my mobile as “My HR” . Then when I had interviews with the managers I stored their number in my mobile as “My Manager” and “My MD” . I did make mistakes in the interview. However, I still focused on working in this company and imagined myself walking and entering this company’s office. I kept hope and faith.
However, a week passed and there was no response from this company and I began to worry; but I didn’t want to focus on the negatives. So I ignored my fears and started focusing on my success. I started cancelling my magazine and gym subscriptions, and packed my clothes in the luggage so as to send out the signal to the Universe that I was ready to shift to the city where this company was located. I began checking flight details to that city and imagined myself feeling overjoyed and happy of receiving the job, I imagined sending the resignation letter and treating my friends to a party for my success. And then after 3-4 days later I received a confirmation call from the HR that they are offering me the job at a better salary. I was very happy for my success and I thanked the “The Secret” for the success.
I now dream of completing my higher studies and marrying the woman of my dreams and living a phenomenal life. I want to be in a position where I can change lives of large no. of people for better and impact the world in a positive way. I love myself.
Thank you Rhonda Byrne for introducing “The Secret”, thank you everyone who shares their success stories here on this site. And a great Thank You to “The Secret”.
