MarylandGraduate on her way to a successful life!
I’ve been dreaming of finally writing on this wall so everyone else could read my story and get inspired as I did reading numerous of different ones. I’m so grateful for everyone of you reading this post because, as YOU did, I sat wondering when this “lucky” lifestyle would soon be mine.
If you are a college student or a recent grad, you will hear that the economy will make your job hunting competitive but YOU must believe that there is something specially JUST for you. I always worked two to three jobs during college, sometimes getting paid less than $10 an hour just so I can afford my rent and food. I always underestimated my potential of being a first generation child going to school in a different country. I always had pressure from my family to graduate and become successful so I could provide for my single parent mother. I’m no different than others but what changed my life was when I started loving myself and completely STOPPED worrying.
There was a period this past summer where I lost a full scholarship to attend graduate school and on the same day of notification, I lost my part time job that was providing for rent. Worried and far from my family, I decided to move back and live home until I found a job. For a month I worried and cried thinking there was no chance. I applied to 40+ jobs and only called back for 1 or 2 that were not of my interest. It was not until I decided to start meditating and listening to Abraham Hicks, praying and loving everything around me, when I got a call for a phone interview, then the actual interview and then the second.
I’m currently working for something bigger than myself and I LOVE IT! I’m making more than anything I ever did in my life and more than my mother and cousins living here. I’m extremely grateful and SO SO happy because I had a chance… or I should say I have MYSELF the chance to love and trust God. If you believe it and you love it… you WILL encounter it. I’m now focusing on perfecting my responsibilities and loving everyone at my job…everything will fall into place. Smile and trust what’s out there!!! God is with us all..even in the smallest little gesture a stranger may give you.
