Semi-colon

St. Petersburg, Fl.I'm an eternal optimist, hopeful romantic and an animal lover. I believe in believing and having faith. I see the best in everyone, even when they don't show it.
I had surgery for Crohns disease. They said I only had a 15 percent chance of surviving the surgery. If I did survive, then I would have to deal with it for the rest of my life. The disease is the reoccuring type. I survived obviously. I decided that there was no way the disease was going to beat me. I’m open about it and I joke about it. I tell everyone that since they took out half my colon, that I now have a semi-colon. That was back in 1991. I used The Secret before I ever even heard about it.
I read the book several years ago, never gave it much thought. Then about 6 weeks ago, I re-read it. I decided to put it to work. I’ve always wanted to buy a VW van, load up my cat, computer and camera and travel. Take pictures of our adventures and make a coffee table book out of it. Something fun. I’ve lived in Florida for 18 years now, and I never remembered seeing a VW van. Since I started visualizing it, I see them everywhere! Three of them, in a row, just drove by the house! I don’t have the money or the van yet, however, I will. Somehow, someway. The Secret does work. Thank you for inspiring me. Who knows, maybe I’ll even stencil The Secret on the side of the van. My way of saying thank you.
