A story to tell…

Kuala Lumpur MalaysiaI pursued law studies after having my third child at the age of 35. I became a qualified lawyer at the age of 40, a partner of a law firm at the age of 45 and practicing until today.
I came from a big family of ten siblings during the colonial times. My father was a man of great discipline, honor and integrity working as a Government servant. He instilled in me the principles of life: To be educated, independent and pursue the dreams no matter how late it is. My mother was a woman of leisure and very loving.
I was a playful kid when I was young. I did not go to the university immediately after high school for I chose to get married at the age of 20. After giving birth to my first child I lived in the United States for three and a half years and worked in a teaching hospital in Florida when my ex-husband was pursuing his undergraduate and post graduate studies in the university. I returned to Malaysia and had my second, third and fourth child.
The turning point of my life was after I had my third child, when I attended my youngest sister’s graduation. I saw my sister on the stage receiving her degree. She became a source of inspiration and I felt that I had to achieve something in my life. From then on I had faith in myself, pursued legal studies and there was no turning back.
My marriage did not work out from the beginning for I could not find the happiness I wanted. Although it was tough, I managed to free myself from my broken marriage at the age of 52 without regret and bitterness. We both still remain as friends.
The moment I achieved my freedom I felt the burden on my shoulder was lifted. I love my life and live to the fullest. I have seven grandchildren. My eldest grand child is 12 years old and the youngest is one week old.
Today I am contributing my services to the people and the society. I believe that we are created to be a part of nature and the universe. I love to share my experience, knowledge and expertise throughout my career. What we give will come back in the same or different form.
When I read about The Secret and The Power I am very excited because, what happened in my life was somehow intertwined with The Secret and The Power without me realizing it. My life was meant to be…..
