The Secret in special places

Leicester, UK32 years young male, live in England.
I read The Secret prior to embarking on a round the world year trip in 2010. I was intrigued by the book, but slightly sceptical. I wanted to prove that the secret works and put the theory to test.
During my trip I was lucky enough to spend 6 months in New Zealand and appreciate one of the most naturally beautiful countries of the world. Like life, travelling had its up-and-downs; finding temporary work was difficult. I spent 6 weeks looking for work, desperate, asking in every bar, shop, restaurant, office, reading local papers. My finances were decreasing and the rest of the trip was being put in financial doubt. I became depressed, low, lost my self-confidence and contemplated moving on to another place to find temporary work.
THEN I realised I was living in one of the most beautiful parts of New Zealand, Queenstown and knew I wanted to stay. I had great friends, I had met a great girl, I just needed to start and believe and visualise myself working instead.
I visualised working in a bar being a DJ and enjoying my stay in Queenstown, I felt the emotion of putting on a classic song & the crowd all cheering. I kept believing, feeling, and visualising this dream. Within a week, I saw a job advert in the local paper for a DJ, and I applied immediately. Within another week, I was DJ at the best two bars in town.
A few weeks after starting my DJ job I was given the opportunity to DJ at another bar as well, therefore I was now working 6 nights a week doing what I love best, Music.
I still questioned whether it was my belief in The Secret that created this situation, however, a few weeks later I knew that The Secret was well and truly working. How? Well, shortly after gaining my job as a DJ, as well as a kitchen hand job, I was walking to work and lost my brand new camera from my back pack. The camera was expensive, but more concerning, there was over 1,500 pictures from my travelling trip potentially lost. I was devastated, heart broken and full of guilt as my family brought the camera for my trip. After the initial shock, I kept faith, practised The Secret and refused to accept that the camera was lost forever.
Again I visualised the day I received the good news that my camera was found, I asked my 12 housemates to also visualise this occasion with me. I would not give in. I put The Secret theory on the line to be well and truly tested. Was I expecting too much?
Well 2 weeks after losing my camera, I received a telephone call from the local police station in Queenstown after just returning from a great day snowboarding with friend. I rushed to the police station with excitement and heightened adrenaline. I waited for the receptionist to show me the camera that had been handed-in by a member of the NZ ski team, who found a camera in the middle of the roundabout in the centre of Queenstown. It was mine! I was overwhelmed with emotion, I cried not only because of the relief, but in amazement of The Secret. As I ran home to tell all my house friends I had found my camera, it was like Deja-Vu, I had already been here before through the power of my thoughts and visual energy.
Say no more. Some may say a bit of luck on two occasions, I say…. I believe.
Thank you for reading my story… The Secret has changed my life forever, I hope you can believe and accept its true powers too! x
