The Power of believing

Plainfield, INI am a mother of 3, a wife, and a daughter.
About four years ago I lived in Texas. I met a friend who was from Indiana, but moved to Texas for a job. We would chat at work all the time, and she constantly told me how great Indiana is, how much she missed what the weather was like, and if anyone knows Texas is HOT! As I listened to her I fell in love with Indiana. Never been there, but through her eyes I knew I would love it! After a few weeks of this talking to her, I came home and told my husband we were moving there. Of course he said I was crazy! He’s been with his company for 10 years and we are not just going to jump up and move, throw everything away we have worked so hard for to move on a whim! He was scared to move, did not know what he was going to do for a job or how he was going to take care of his family, so he always told me no, every day, no, no, no.
I finally told him that I was going, me and the kids, and he could stay in Texas and keep his job, and boy did I MEAN EVERY WORD OF IT!!! He finally understood how serious I was. He had some vacation coming, I took some time off work, found a sitter and drove to Indiana. He called his district manager (who was impressed that we took such a big step, and knew we were serious) while we were there and met up with him. We drove around the state, and checked out some schools. We came home and about a week later one of his bosses called and said if we still wanted to move to Indiana there was a position available! They gave us 12 days to be there and start work.
Now what I did not mention is that the whole time I tried talking my husband into moving to Indiana, I was telling him we were going to have a bigger house, live on a cul-de-sac, pay less in utility bills, and the kids were going to have better schools and make better friends! I always pulled up houses on the internet and made him look at them, and finally got him interested. Everything I did was with purpose, and I knew, without ever a small bit of doubt, that this was going to happen. I had so much faith in it. I even had enough faith for both of us!
Well, guess what?! Now we live in a 5 bedroom house on a cul-de-sac, corner lot, and one of the biggest back yards in the subdivison. Both of our vehicles are paid for, our daughter was so shy and timid, now she is a social butterfly, she is in so many activities, she pulls straight As, and will not leave the state of Indiana for nothing. Our oldest son finally finished school, and now will be attending ITT. He is so excited to be going. It makes me feel good that he is excited. Our youngest son is just happy to be around his family. He’s good doing anything! I also knew I would have a job where I would not have to work nights. I got that too, but it was even better because the people who I work with I feel like I knew them all of my life! They feel that way about me too! We always talk about why it took me so long to get here (lol).
We have found our place in the world! Every day I am so thankful for those conversations I had with my friend at work in Texas. I felt it, I knew it, took the first step, and it happened!!
So 4 years later I find “The Secret”, and I had to write my story! I did not know anything about this kind of stuff, but now that I know what it is I did, I have so much more bigger plans! World, watch out, here I come!! I am also so thankful to the Universe for giving me all that I ask for and directing me in the right way!
