Perfect Dress
Submitted by: Valentina
Yekaterinburg, RussiaLast summer I went to a night club with my friends. And there, I saw a girl wearing a beautiful dress. I loved the color and the style, and I knew that it would look great with my body-type. So time after time I thought about such dress, imagining myself wearing it.
Then about one month before the new year I saw “my perfect dress” in a store. But the price was too high. I could afford it, but I knew that buying it for that price would make me feel guilty for spending such a big amount of money. Despite that I kept thinking about this dress, and visualizing it and feeling as if I had it. I did it without the purpose to have it. I just liked to think about that dress as mine.
Two days before my new year party I went to that store and the dress was still there. My friend insisted that I try it on and I did. It was perfect but I still could not let myself buy it for that price. So I left, but I was not upset because I knew it was the right thing to save money. And still I had that special feeling: that dress was mine.
The next day, December 30 (!) I went to that mall alone, so I could concentrate and find a good dress for me. Suddenly, I thought about “my perfect dress” and decided to go to that store once again. What I saw was incredible: they had reduced the price 30%. So I tried it on once again and bought it immediately.
I keep visualizing and playing the “acting as if” game and it helps me like nothing else! Now I know that what you feel is yours is meant to be yours.
Thanks to Rhonda Byrne and The Secret team! I will be looking forward to new films and books from you!!!
