South AfricaI am female that has been blessed by the power of The Secret. I am currently completing a year of teaching English to school students in South Korea.
I bought my first copy of The Secret in 2008. I began reading it but got busy with work, and i was unable to complete the book. During 2009, i fell ill and since i had a week off from work i resumed reading The Secret. But, i wanted to enjoy it in it’s entirety, so I read from beginning to end and completed it in one day. I felt so inspired upon reading the book, that i wanted to get hold of everyone i knew and spread the message of The Secret…and that we have the power to create our lives as we want it! I gave my book to one of my best friends and talked to many other friends about the book.
I always loved the words Thank you but after reading about the power of gratitude I began to encompass the words more often into my daily living.
I had worked in a reputable professional services firm and although I had established myself in my career, I always had a yearning to travel and live abroad in a foreign country. I also had one remaining exam to qualify as a Certified Internal Auditor. So I wrote these two goals on paper, decorated them and stuck it on my wall. I had read this everyday and spoke to the universe as though I was speaking to a friend. And miraculously December 2009 I was accepted to teach English at an Elementary school in South Korea and I also passed my qualifying exam. The power of The Secret began to live with me. I was able to sell my car and transferred to South Korea in February 2010. I made friends easily and during my transition of living in a foreign country i have only had positive experiences.
I attribute all my good fortune to the blessings from the universe as well as the love and support of my family and friends. I am now set to return to South Africa in February 2011. I am so grateful for everything that The secret has taught me and enabled me to accomplish. I feel a sense of gratitude and humbleness that is hard to express, but in two simple words: Thank You makes me smile and feel anything is possible. I love my life and I look forward to the teachings of The Secret being with me always.
