The Secret domino effect
Submitted by: Mimi M.
South East England, UKUniversity student living life inspired by The Secret.
Throughout my life, especially towards the end of my teen years, I strongly believed, and still do believe, that the power of positive thoughts lead to a positive mental attitude and life on the whole.
I had heard many stories about the effect of The Secret and how life changing it can be nut never really thought it would work for me. I finally received the book as a Christmas gift and read it by the beginning of January this year.
Since then, I decided to (as Rhonda Byrne outlines) “dedicate my life, attention and energy to abundance, love, trust, peace and education”. The results have been phenomenal!…
Just for a sample, I’ll give you a few cases.
Case #1
I work at a part time job that was unable to give me many hours during the festive season. Rather than feeling sorry for myself, I used my time to go through my wardrobe and spent 2 hours collecting clothes and shoes for charity. 3 boxes and 30 pairs of shoes later, I dropped the goods at the charity shop because I am thankful for what I already have and hope the donation can help others (show gratitude). The following morning, work telephones and asked if I could work for the day – delighted, I accepted the offer and earned £60 I was not expecting. The moral of the story; Show gratitude by being thankful, and think in abundance and expect cheques, not bills.
Case #2
I live in university housing with other students but after a disagreement I was hoping to move out but did not know how to approach the situation. I asked the universe for guidance and the next day after class I saw the postman (who I rarely see) and walked into the house to find ONE letter on the welcome mat. It was from the house-letting agent, who wrote to us to say whether we want to stay or not. Thus, I was able to tell my housemates I’m moving out with minimal awkwardness or hostility. Moral of the story? Ask, BELIEVE, Receive.
Case #3
It is claimed that January is ‘the most miserable month of the year’, this is only true if you think it is. If not, then life is an entirely different story. At the beginning of the month, I started a day-to-day list of people I care about and their positive attributes. I write one word a day, as a daily reminder as to why I love them. This has really changed by view on my loved ones as well as strengthened my relationships with them! Moral of the story? Thoughts become things. If you think your loved one is kind hearted, indeed they are and there is no space for negative thoughts!
Overall, I highly recommend you continue to believe in the law of attraction and the power of The Secret. I also recommend subscribing to the daily scrolls as they act as a constant, daily reminder. Whether you believe it or not, it’s happening so you may as well live and believe it. If you don’t have time or are a regular commuter, download it on iTunes or buy the audio version and MAKE time!
P.S Believing in the available parking space REALLY works!
Have a lovely day, and smile.
