I first saw Rhonda on the Oprah Winfrey show back when the movie The Secret was about to come out in 2006. I got the movie, watched it and then bought the book. I have since bought the other books, The Magic and The Power.

Back then we were not doing that great. We both had our salaries from our full time jobs but we certainly were not thriving financially. We had some debt from a period of unemployment for my husband, nothing crazy, but it was always there.

Soon after watching the movie and reading the book I was offered some overtime work that I could do from home. This was exactly what we needed, we were able to get out of debt and prepare for retirement. We were able to pay off our house 10 years early and rid ourselves of nearly all of our debt.

In 2010 I retired from my full-time job to go to work for a contractor. There was plenty of work to begin with, but there was an ebb and flow that was sometimes disconcerting. Every time the work would seem to dry up, I would go back to the book or the movie for a “refresher course” and each time our contracts would increase. Recently the work seemed to be decreasing. I went back to the book and the movie again, my intention was that there would be more work than I could handle.

And, this past month, there was more work than I could handle! We have been able to make improvements to our home and our vacation home that we could never have afforded in the past. One of my main intentions was that would would have enough money to repair and maintain both homes. That has become a reality. Another intention was to not have to worry about money, another reality. Another intention was to be able to travel, another reality. I have crossed so many intentions off my list.

I feel so blessed to have discovered this book and to have been able to share it with others, especially my children. I would like to take this moment to thank Rhonda for creating The Secret books and movie. I know she has changed so many lives, including mine and my family’s.
