The Secret – Alcoholism

My yoga teacher & doctor, Dr. Renu Mathani, introduced me to The Secret in April 2007. Since then I have read the book several times. I was faced with a life threatening disease – Alcoholism – when I first read the book. I was doing everything in my power to try and control my alcohol intake but was failing miserably. I was not ready to accept the simple fact that I was an alcoholic & I would have to give up drinking completely in order to survive. However I was practicing the principles of The Secret and believed that they would help me find a way out. However I was not clear as to what I exactly wanted.

My parents put me in a rehabilitation center in June 2008, where I spent 3 months. This was the first time I was forced into abstinence from alcohol. And guess what?! My fellow patient was reading The Secret and it was given to him by his brother. In the rehabilitation center I read the book many times, made notes. I wanted the Law Of Attraction to give me an alcohol-free life. And the full universe conspired to help me. I asked clearly what I wanted – a life without alcohol; I believed that I would have it; and am receiving it.

I was discharged from the rehabilitation center on 6th September 2008. I have been practicing the 12 steps of Alcoholic Anonymous.

I go for Dr. Renu Mathani’s yoga classes every day. I am very grateful to her for introducing me to the book. I firmly believe that it was because of the Law Of Attraction that I am living a sober life today.

My life has changed completely since I asked the universe for a sober life. I was very clear as to what I wanted. This is the essence of it all – clarity of thought. And you will get what you ask for.
